Mankind has a problem. SIN! Yeah, I said it, SIN. We live in a world where everyone feels that I'm OK, and you're OK too. Just do the best you can, leave me alone, and we'll all go to heaven. Sorry, but that's just not Biblical. You see, sin separates us from God, and we've all sinned. We can read in,
ROMANS 3:23
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
So all our good deeds, being moral, or even man's religion won't get us to heaven. There is only one way the Heaven. No amount of good works will change a man’s nature. Just doing, or not doing actions isn't good enough. This isn't about rules and regulations. It's about having a relationship with God. He wants a family, and He desires that we all become a part of it.
ROMANS 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
You see, God loves us and He only wants good things for us. That’s why he sent His Son Jesus. He knew that there is absolutely nothing we can do on our own to gain salvation. There had to be a perfect man that could go his entire life without sin, and who would lay down his life for the rest of us. Jesus is that perfect man.
ROMANS 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
So how do you receive this wonderful gift of salvation? It's truly simple!
You simply confess him as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you can be saved.
JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
ROMANS 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
PRAYER
Simply pray this prayer, and believe what you're praying.
Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Father, I'm a sinner and I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I receive what Jesus did for me through his death, burial, and his resurrection. Come into my heart and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Take my life and do something with it. Thank you Father!!
JOHN 1:12-13
But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
